Day 128: Summer Showers

BHS during a break in the rain.  All that complaining about the heat finally got into Mother Nature's nerves.  So, she decided to give us summer showers!  I love it!   A tropical cyclone in the middle of summer.  Something that can only happen here.

I planned to take my mom and my sister out for Mother's Day, but they both had plans.  Pft.  Nothing in this weekend turned out how I planned it.  I ended up spending time with a friend, having dinner at Chelsea and gelato at Gelatissimo.  I like having ice cream when it's cold.  It Kickstarts (Example) light, laid-back conversations.

    haha natawa naman ako sis na may plan din mom and sis mo. Sayang yung plan mo!

    I used to love Chelsea hanggang tinanggal nila sa menu nila yung sausage haha But Gelatissimo is L-O-V-E. The best ice cream I tried (with the exception of Arce Dairy's Mantecado haha)

    I love Chelsea! I love the hge servings. May sausage dun sa menu kagabi, sis. I haven't tried it yet, though. Kinulit namin yung staff ng Gelatissimo. Picture kami ng picture. Pati sa staff nagpa-picture kami. :D

    I guess Mother Nature got fed us with us complaining about the infernal summer heat! Ayan, its still cloudy pa today in Metro Manila :)

    nakakatawa nga.. kaya it's better to make sure na while planning eh free ang sked ng pinagpaplanuhan mo.. kawawa ka naman kung after everything eh hindi pala sila pwede.. :D

    same here sis! i have a college friend na ewan kung bakit tuwing umuulan, saka kami nag a-ice cream.. weird sabi ng mga classmates namin.. hehe!

    @photoparjour: Bumabawi si Mother Nature. Init na init daw tayo, diba? Ayan. Ulan. And not just rain - tropical cyclone.

    @mango_shake: May nagsabi sakin dati na scientifically, ice cream does not cool you down. Reality is it makes you warmer, because of the sugar, I think. That's why after eating ice cream, parang uhaw ka pa din. :)

    Glad to know I'm not the only *freak* around here who loves eating ice cream in cold weather. Haha. Too bad mataas sugar ko ngayon so I have to avoid the stuff muna. T_T

    Kaya yata umulan sis kasi lately puro reklamo nakikita ko about how hot it is. So ayan answered prayers ang rain kaso bumaha daw yata sa ibang lugar?

    Anyways, ako din sis I love eating ice cream during the cold weather. Ang sarap kaya!! hehe :)

    @Joanne: I found out yesterday na meron nga daw mga nabaha. Now I feel rotten about being so happy with the rain. :(
