Day 138: Money in the Pot

Enough ranting about my forced food deprivation.  I should know better than to believe I'm forced to starve, anyway.

This is my coin bank's contents.  I used to have loose change lying around everywhere.  I got myself a coin bank so I could deposit whatever coins I have in my pocket in it.  They come in handy during emergencies.  At one point, I filled a pot with five peso coins and it paid for my travel tax.  I guess, That's What You Get (Paramore) for putting aside all that heavy nickel in your pocket.  Somehow, though, I still end up with a lot of loose change lying around.

  1. I keep telling myself I'd do this but somehow never got around to actually doing it. The coins invariably ended up paying for small trinkets and candies. Haha.

  2. Nice shot. That reminds me of the coin bank of my boyfriend. It's overflowing with coins & if he's not around his room, I steal some. Sayang kasi. Hehe! He puts them in an empty cup of instant noodles.

  4. @blackshirt13: Haha... Ako naman, nabigatan lang lagi kakabitbit ng coins. Tapos lagi na lang silang nakakalat sa apartment. Hanggang sa may madaanan akong store na may coin bank. Ayun na.

@Reggie: Thanks, sis! :) I just gave up lugging them around.

@Dianne: Haha... Sakto yan, sis. Pang-travel tax din. :D

  5. Sis I used to save coins too back in college, puro 5 and 10 lang and I only did that during November and December so I can save up for christmas gifts. Ang alikansiya ko lang is mineral bottle. I cut a small hole to slip the coins in. Ok na din, I could save around 1500 na din yata sa time na yan. That was the only way back then that I could buy gifts for my inaanaks. haha :p Yung bro ko ang magaling mag-ipon sa ganyan. Malaki yung mga alikansya nya and hindi nya talaga binubuksan before. pero ngayon wala na, magastos na siya :p

  6. @Joanne: Wow. :D

  8. @Gwacie: My wallet has a coin purse, pero I still somehow put coins in my pockets, and when I get home I dump them in this pot. :)

  10. @Pink: It wasn't a conscious effort to save. More like, nakakalat kasi, kaya dapat itabi. :D
