Day 309: Strung Up
It's a rainy weekend, and I don't really want to go out. I'm too bored, yet too lazy for words.
Pardon me, I'm a little obsessed with Mika right now. Listening to Rain (Mika).

Day 270: I Need A Drink
There are those challenging days when you just want to end it with a drink. Hopefully, something strong and relaxing. This is one of those days. I can't even tell you when my day started because it seems like the last one never really ended. After showering and feeding myself, I decided to hit the sack because I had an early start. I didn't think it would be difficult to sleep. Not in bed weather. However, I did not count on having the window of the apartment above mine to be left open. Given that the wind was on a 93mph rage, it just banged the window repeatedly against the shutters. It would have been a blessing if that window broke, but it didn't. It kept me awake the entire time I was supposed to be sleeping.
Now, work, no matter how stressful, is more or less enjoyable for me. I was dead on my feet, though, by the time I hit my ninth hour. So, off to home I went. I decided to drop by an ATM to withdraw funds. Taxi fare do not come cheap, after all. Well, what do you know? The stinking machine did not dispense! The bank, also doesn't seem to be picking up. I do not know how this will get resolved, but I'm drinking a glass and getting in bed. The worries can be bothered with tomorrow. I'm so tired I can't even get angry.

Day269: Smoked Tanigue, Dill Sauce and Bed Weather
Here comes the rain. I went home nearly soaked through. The wind even broke my umbrella. Good old sturdy one that lasted me nearly four years. One blow from that wind, and there she goes. After showering that typhoon off me, I'm now relaxing with a plate of smoked tanigue, a serving of dill sauce and some nice old 80's music.

Day 238: Hanging Up
My hangers are empty because there's no use doing the laundry when it's raining like it is.
My longest day at work, so far. I feel like I'm slowly getting my groove back. Slowly.

Day 217: Rainshower on My Breakfast
The weather seems to be bi-polar. When work ended, it seemed like it was going to be a day for the sun. Then it rained like crazy while we were having breakfast. Then, as we were finishing off our meal, the sun just shined. I swear, this weather is insane.

Day 212: Ice Cream Mochi
After a visit to the dentist, I get a fine excuse to get myself ice cream. I was surprised to find ice cream mochi at Rustan's Fresh at Il Terrazzo. I rarely get to see it at Hatchin, and would often wonder where else to get one. It was a good thing I decided to get myself ice cream after dinner at Banapple. While checking the frozen selection, I found mochi. In four flavors! So, I got one of each and went on home to enjoy it. I still have vacation hangover, but ice cream in cold weather can perk me up anytime.

Day 189: Waiting for the Sign to Change
On the way home, I took a random shot of these bikers waiting for the sign to change.
I have, at several times, probably waited for signs to show themselves to me. Funny thing is, when I finally get them, I wait for them to change. Particularly if the sign didn't turn out to be something I favored. While walking home, I realized that there really isn't any use to waiting for the signs to change when they don't work for you. You either make it change, or deal with the fact that you cannot change it. Besides, your life cannot be ruled by the signs you wait for, or the absence of it.
I guess, what I'm saying is This Is Your Life (Switchfoot), you decide who you want to be.

Day 175: Rain on a Friday
The rain ain't letting up.
This was an interesting Friday. It started with a White Party. I didn't know what it was for, but I was late for it. Apparently, the staff came up with a party for all June birthday celebrants. Which, of course, included me. So, I was late for a party partly in my honor. How great is that? It's also the last day of my current class. I'm moving to another class next week - as a participant, this time.
Now, I'm getting to bed hoping that Mother Nature doesn't Rain (Ryuichi Sakamoto) on my parade. This is one weekend I have viewed with anticipation.

Day 170: Chilled
Rainy Sunday is best served indoors with chilled wine.
I had my first adjustment today. It was interesting. After the visit to the dentist, I figured I could do my groceries as well. I love grocery shopping. Particularly now that I have a fridge. I can store milk, wine and all those great things you put in the fridge. I get to chill my wine glasses, too. After groceries, I went back to my state of dolce far niente. Cue Aguas de Marco (Elis Regina). It's so relaxing, I think I should do this more often.

Day 159: Gray
It's still raining. It's good weather to put yourself under a blanket with Kiss the Rain (Yiruma) on the background.
I have been a bit gray lately. I can blame it on the weather. I can blame it on the long day. Or I can decide to pick myself out of this rut. I'm taking the last option.

Day 144: Blue & Gray
Well, it's really silver, but a little adjustment on the color wheel made it more blue. No, I'm not feeling down. I know how to deal When the Stars Go Blue (The Corrs featuring Bono). I just needed a macro shot, and this is my contribution. This was inspired by a photo I saw in the 365 Project site which I cannot find anymore. Drats.
The skies are also a bit gray. I've been seeing rainclouds and lightning. While I like the cold after a whole lot of heat, I do feel bad for those who have to deal with inclement weather. In this country, though, the weather you have to live with is more of in extremes. You either get a whole lot of sun, or a whole lot of rain. Sometimes, on the same day.

Day 128: Summer Showers
BHS during a break in the rain. All that complaining about the heat finally got into Mother Nature's nerves. So, she decided to give us summer showers! I love it! A tropical cyclone in the middle of summer. Something that can only happen here.
I planned to take my mom and my sister out for Mother's Day, but they both had plans. Pft. Nothing in this weekend turned out how I planned it. I ended up spending time with a friend, having dinner at Chelsea and gelato at Gelatissimo. I like having ice cream when it's cold. It Kickstarts (Example) light, laid-back conversations.

Day 60: After the Rain
March brought in the rain. It felt like summer rain, too. Maybe because it was just so hot the last few days. It really smells like it's almost summer, and I like that. It makes you anticipate for summer. Which is simply fantastic because this country has the best summer in the entire universe, hands down.
Although, I'm probably one of those people who actually like the rain. I don't like flood, which is an after effect of heavy downpour, but I like drizzling rain. The ones you get before or after summer. The kind that comes with a light breeze and leaves a rainbow after. I like how people move after a rainfall, too. The closing of umbrellas and the slow progressive movements. Kind of like awakening. I like the little puddles in the gutter and the glistening pavement. It must be the romantic in me, but the aftermath of a rainfall feels like poetry in motion. It's really like watching something somber turn luminous. Because believe me, after the rain, would always come the sun.
