Poolside at Canyon Cove.
Sunday's activities were fun and tiring. I lost my voice somewhere between the second and sixth leg of the race, while chanting (more like screaming, really) our team number. The night's socials was also entertaining. Everyone seemed to have fun. It felt good to see our hard work pay off. I'm happy for the winning team, too. We had time to enjoy the place the morning after, but since I follow EST, it still counts as Sunday for me.
As a tribute to my team, I'm playing the song that got us third place. Telephone vs. enter Sandman (Lady Gaga/Metallica mash-up)

Day 144: Blue & Gray
Well, it's really silver, but a little adjustment on the color wheel made it more blue. No, I'm not feeling down. I know how to deal When the Stars Go Blue (The Corrs featuring Bono). I just needed a macro shot, and this is my contribution. This was inspired by a photo I saw in the 365 Project site which I cannot find anymore. Drats.
The skies are also a bit gray. I've been seeing rainclouds and lightning. While I like the cold after a whole lot of heat, I do feel bad for those who have to deal with inclement weather. In this country, though, the weather you have to live with is more of in extremes. You either get a whole lot of sun, or a whole lot of rain. Sometimes, on the same day.

Day 133: Lamp in the Daylight
This was taken on J.P. Rizal, if I'm not mistaken. I was in a cab, so I wasn't consciously aware of the street names. I can tell you, though, that it's across the river from the Makati City Hall. I have a fascination with lamplights. When we went up to Baguio, I took pictures of almost every lamplight I saw in Camp John Hay. Yeah, I'm weird that way.
My disposition has improved over the last few hours. I had an interesting discussion with the folks in our team. There's this event at work that requires everyone to come up with a presentation, and we were all debating on what to do. I used the term "debating" because it was a healthy discussion. We're professionals, we're not going to turn barbaric and start brawling. *Wipes bloody nose* I am kidding, of course.
I watched the trailer for Something Borrowed, because the girls were talking about it and this song stuck. Little Too Much (Natasha Bedingfield)

Day 128: Summer Showers
BHS during a break in the rain. All that complaining about the heat finally got into Mother Nature's nerves. So, she decided to give us summer showers! I love it! A tropical cyclone in the middle of summer. Something that can only happen here.
I planned to take my mom and my sister out for Mother's Day, but they both had plans. Pft. Nothing in this weekend turned out how I planned it. I ended up spending time with a friend, having dinner at Chelsea and gelato at Gelatissimo. I like having ice cream when it's cold. It Kickstarts (Example) light, laid-back conversations.

Day 126: Summer Road
I was out on Friday afternoon, visiting. This is the road from their home. I should have taken a picture of their house. It's a lovely stone house half-covered in vines. The heat was frying my brain, though.
Another summer song to perk me up: Candy In The Sun (Swirl 360). I am looking forward to the end of this month.

Day 124: In Daylight
I've been wanting to take a photo of the view from work during the day. Lately, the smog isn't as thick and you can see the mountains in the horizon. Plus the clouds were neat and puffy. This was my best attempt during break with my ever reliable phone.
I have to admit, despite the crazy heat, I like the fact that summer is the only season that can give you such a pretty sight. Blue sky, fluffy clouds, and bright greenery. Even the smog is less visible. The clouds were my favorite, of course. They remind me of cotton candy.
There's still a month left of this summer to enjoy. Forget the sleep music, I'm playing Mint Car (The Cure).

Day 116: Shutter on a Summer
I have probably posted a similar picture a few days ago. Back when I was coughing like crazy and practically no good. Well, I'd like to give justice to my window shutters, so I decided to take another photo. Nah. That's an excuse. This is just another one of those lazy summer days when I do not want to look hard for inspiration. I mean, look at my window, it was trying so hard to filter the raging sun. It's not winning, either.
So, I'm sitting here thinking, what would make me move my sorry little butt out there in the sun. Hmm... If that sun comes with a wide expanse of sea crashing on white sand, probably. A beach sounds so good right now. I'm listening to U2 perform I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For in Milan, and I'm thinking if the world conspires to bring U2 to Manila, I'll be out there in this heat to buy myself tickets. In a heartbeat. I hope someone answers my prayer: Please, please, please, someone please bring Sir Bono to Manila! I will be a good girl, I promise!

Day 102: Wakey, Wakey
Most people's sunrise, is my sunset. At least, in this part of the planet. Pretty, isn't she?
Such a humongous Starlight (Muse).

Day 67: Blue Sky Dreaming
There's a lot of things I'm anticipating recently. One, it's almost summer! Despite the weather being completely unpredictable the last couple of weeks, I can stilll smell summer approaching. The heat is beginning to get scalding, and the skies are getting bluer. At least, from this vantage point it does. I've learned to love summer because, other than the Christmas season, I think this season defines my country's beauty best.
Two, I'm closer to getting myself a real camera (misty eyes). I love my N82 to bits and pieces, but I am definitely looking forward to playing with an actual lens again. And yes, play. I'm an enthusiast, not a professional. In all those times I have taken random photos, I have really just been playing. I have no real intent of going pro. I only want to take pictures that I want to see.
Three, I just found out that Cirque du Soleil is coming to Manila. Oh. My. God.... That's a blue-sky dream, right there. I have always wanted to see 'O' at the Bellagio, but Vegas is too far away. When I was in Macau, I regret not being able to book tickets to see 'Zaia'. My friends who've seen it say it isn't as good as the Canadian and Vegas Cirque du Soleil shows, but this is still CIRQUE DU SOLEIL we're talking about! This is like the greatest performing acrobatic troupe in the world today! So, finding out that they're bringing the grand chapiteau to Rizal Park in June is just plain phenomenal! (Insert more superlatives)
There are simply so many things to look forward to. All of them just in time for the First of Summer (Urbandub).
