Day 37: In Color

When I said I should look into taking more pictures in color, the first subject that came to mind were really my colored pens.  You cannot possibly get more colorful than this.  Twenty-four colors to be exact.  Such images just gives you happy thoughts.

I've always loved the mystery of grayscale.  I think more with black and white images because it leaves the colors to the imagination.  It probably tells you how grayscale my imagination is.  Maybe because I equate colorful to optimist, and I wasn't always exactly a silver-lining kind of girl.  During the last couple of years, though, I have moved towards being more optimistic.  Ive learned that if you want life to give you gray and melancholic images, it will give you that.  And as much as I love the classic black and white, I think I would prefer to look back and get lost in the technicolor phase.  In twenty-four colors, if you may.

Speaking of optimism. Remember the fad of The Secret? Well.. I never read it but my friend did at sabi niya we shouldn't bothered reading it kasi super optimistic naman daw kami haha

  5. 24 color pens... Haha! I remember the days I used to dragged my lolo para bilhan ako ng color pens -- every week kapag naggogrocery kami. Well, if not color pens then color pencils or crayons. :-p

  7. when i was still a child, it's my wish that my mother would buy me dozens & dozens of colored pens or crayons. but mom being so kuripot, would just buy me if needed in school projects & just a dozen... now that my daughters are getting hooked with collecting colored pens, i keep on buying them with new sets. kaya di na nawawalan ng kalat na papers & even markings on our walls :)

  8. I love colored pens. Til now. I still even have my coloring books, nakakawala ng stress e. It's just that now, I have a few more outlets. So medyo set aside muna ang pens and coloring books.

  9. @clicknthoughts: I miss markings on the walls! I don't have that since living on my own. Yung parang may poorly made mural. :P

@Jean: That's true. When we finally grow up we end up liking the things we do as a child better than the things we thought we will when we're older. :)
