Day 212: Ice Cream Mochi

After a visit to the dentist, I get a fine excuse to get myself ice cream.  I was surprised to find ice cream mochi at Rustan's Fresh at Il Terrazzo.  I rarely get to see it at Hatchin, and would often wonder where else to get one.  It was a good thing I decided to get myself ice cream after dinner at Banapple.  While checking the frozen selection, I found mochi.  In four flavors!  So, I got one of each and went on home to enjoy it.  I still have vacation hangover, but ice cream in cold weather can perk me up anytime.

Day 70: Bean & Stick Stories

Another Ayala Triangle story.  Another four-hour long breakfast.  This is the coffee machine at the counter in Banapple.  I went back with another set of friends and loved it all over again.  I swear, I'm so stuffed, I feel like a tomato on toothpicks.

This is probably not good.  Sure, I've always wanted to gain more than two plies of tissue, but I had hoped they would be in the right places.  Well, so much for hoping.  Pft.  I remember eating lunch the other day and stopping halfway through because I felt like I couldn't breathe anymore.  I may be taking this love for food one step too far.   I mean, my arms and legs still look like mangly sticks, it's just my tummy that's getting bigger.  If you grease me up, I could probably pass as a malnourished kid in some remote region.  Thing is, I cannot avoid food.  I love it too much to let go.  Maybe, this is nature's way of telling me to get off my butt and workout.

Hmm...  So, what kind of workout can I actually do?  *Google mode*  In the meantime, a slice of Cadbury Old Gold Oreo Cheesecake please. :)

Day 42: Banappled

Doesn't it look yum?  I promise you, it tastes even better.  I have always wanted to try Banapple at Ayala Triangle after hearing rave reviews about it.  I just never found the time.  After a long week of love-hate relationship with the printer, though, I figured I deserve a break.  My colleagues were playing ball at a court nearby, so I decided to drop by en route to wherever my taste bud fancied.  Turns out, Banapple was the only place open at 9am.  Well, there's BFast and Momo, but they didn't have the same appeal.

I got myself penne and my friend got the lasagna roll-ups.  They were both heavenly.  The servings, too, were man-sized.  I was already full halfway through my penne bowl, and I haven't even started with that cake yet.  However, glutton that I am, I couldn't possibly pass up the pretty slice of fruity goodness.  It was so good, it was sinful.  But it certainly felt like the right kind of wrong.
