Day 338: Crazy, Stupid, Love

Earlier this year, I talked about seeing Crazy, Stupid, Love and absolutely loving it.  I bought a copy of the video because I wanted to see if it still has the same charm.  It does.  I love this rom-com.  It's what rom-coms should be.

Day 330: A Picnic Blanket

I received this gift from Dianne today, and I love it!  It's a collection of token pieces and each one has a meaning.  I find it absolutely adorable!  I like receiving presents, just like everyone else, but I like it best when you know there's thought involved in the gift-giving.  These are the gifts that show you value.

Thanks again, sis! :)

Day 240: Food and Love

An old friend and I met up for a light dinner.  We decided to eat at Banana Leaf because it's been so long since we've dined there.  This is the last one left of the prawn balls with cheese I ordered.  I love Asian cuisine!  The taste, the texture, and the aroma is really something very distinct.  We also had roti and curry, which I also love.

I cannot end this post without saying that we watched Crazy, Stupid, Love.  It was ridiculously funny!  I can't get over it.  Sure, Ryan Gosling was a real eye candy here, but the rest of the cast was just hilarious.  I highly recommend it.  I had such a good laugh, I felt good after leaving the theater.  This is one of those films I'd like to watch when I'm stressed or depressed.  In fact, I want to get a copy of the video just for that.

Day 184: Smoked Salmon

After indulging in malls for the last week or so, I decided to stay in and avoid the malls so as to save my bank account.  I've been quite productive.  In between doing my laundry and cleaning the apartment, I had smoked salmon and some fruit.  It sounds like a diet meal, but it isn't.  I like smoked salmon.  I can finish off about a quarter of a kilo of it on my own.  Which is what I did.  Plus, I had ice cream for dessert.  So, no.  I'm not on a diet.

Day 183: Eiga Sai

I have planned on watching Departures at the 2011 Eiga Sai film festival this year with a friend.  However, the influx of people who lined up to watch was just insane.  Not that we didn't try.  We queued up about an hour before they gave out tickets.  There were just too many people who showed up, and we were about 50 people behind the last one who was given a seat.  Oh well, we'll probably try it next weekend or another day within the week.

Day 135: Sunday

Lazy Sunday.  I spent the entire day indoors, save for that hour I went out to buy ice cream, toiletries, and take pictures.  I spent almost the entire time watching movie after movie.  I haven't seen a movie for a long time.  I think the last one I watched was The Green Hornet in January.  I hope I can spend more time like this, curled up on my couch and watching entertaining stories told.  I'll watch all of them like a Daydream Believer (The Monkees).

Day 23: 3-Dimensional

I enjoyed watching The Green Hornet in 3D today.  Seth Green and Jay Chou were an unlikely pair, but they worked for me.  It probably isn't anything like a Jerry Bruckheimer, but, it's good as good goes.  My favorite was probably the gas gun. :P  Overall, it served it's purpose - it was entertaining.

I now have Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise in my head because of it.
