Day 180: Best Foot Forward

My lovely new shoes.  One of the pairs I got.  Don't ask.  Someone got a little too crazy shopping this week.

My bank account hates me right now.  It does not believe that I have any sense of discipline.  Neither does it believe that I have the capacity to understand the word.  I say, this is all MNG's fault.  If they didn't start it, I really wouldn't be buying things like I ran out of stuff in my closet.  I mean, this week was insane.  I was either in a mall or online.  Either way, I was buying something.  Oh, well, mid-year sales only happen once a year.

Must. Not. Shop.

Day 94: New Shoes

I have officially retired my abused pair of Melissa.  I don't even want to show you how worn-out they've been.  If that pair could talk, they would express their hatred of me in a string of creative curses.  After much procrastination, I finally decided to let them die a natural death and replace them with this Anthology pair.  I did mention that I love shoes and I have several pairs of them.  I'm more of a collector, though.  Out of five pairs, I'd probably stick to wearing one or two pairs until they're beaten and worn.  The rest, I just wear every now and then.  Sometimes, I only look at them.  Like what some people do with dolls.

I needed these New Shoes (Paolo Nutini) not just because I've worn out my old pair of flats, but because a new pair has this magical ability to make you feel better.

Day 43: For the Love of Shoes

I love shoes.  I love them so much that at one point, I owned over a hundred pairs (Yes, Imelda?).  I no longer own over a hundred pairs.  I have grown more meticulous when buying shoes.  I look more at a pair's durability and ability to hold me up when I need them.  Most of the time, my shoes would not fail me.  That's one reason why I love them.  They're very good friends.  They compliment me, too.  A good pair of shoes can make you feel good about yourself.  My favorite quote on shoes came from the manga Hana Yori Dango.  One character advised the heroine, "Wear good shoes, and those shoes will take you to good places."  It has truth to it.  My favorite pairs have accompanied me to every good place and moment I had in life. 

I chose the pair above, because I like brogues.  I like wearing men's items and making them feminine.  I've been called a tomboy because of it.  I guess, some people have never heard of the term 'androgyny'.  Also, since it's Valentine's weekend, the pair made a pretty good heart-shaped image hanging like that.
