Day 333: Test Shot
I was going around looking for accessories for Nino. Interestingly, this is the only shot I got to take during the day. I was running test shots with the polarizer, and found it to my liking. I was also looking for a tripod, but my sister called dibs on it and volunteered to give me one for Christmas. She's giving me a Manfrotto tripod. How neat is that? I love my sister, even if sometimes we hate each other. That's what family is, anyway.

Day 299: For My Memories
I worked for a bit on my journal today. Not necessarily writing anything, just drawing and putting on stickers. I tend to design the borders with whatever comes to mind. I sometimes end up having several pages with artwork but nothing written on it. One fine example being the photo above.
I've been writing random things again recently. It should be a good sign, but my muse is a little on the fickle side. It tends to inspire me at very random moments with very random thoughts. It has absolutely no comprehension of organization. Ah, well. We live with what we have, right?

Day 173: Mirror, Mirror
A self portrait.
I really wanted to take a picture of a mirror, as I think it is symbolic of how my day was. However, I do not have those fancy gilded mirrors in my apartment. The top half of my living room wall has this humongous mirror, though, and I decided to improvise.
I have a way of gauging my growth as a person. This is going to sound a bit psychotic, but I take a look at myself in front of a mirror. I look at myself and see if I like the person staring back at me. If I like this person better than the person looking back at me a year ago, then I must have done something right. Today, I had one of those brutal moments where I had to look at myself and decide whether I like myself better today. I do, and somehow I don't. There are pieces of me that I see and I want to smash into pieces. There are parts of me that I really like better. Regardless of what I see right now, what's important is what happens after. If I work hard enough on those things I don't like seeing, I know that Someday I'll Be Good Enough (Bodyslam).

Day 82: Partially Retiring
Not much imagination, but today I'd like to pay homage to what made me survive the first 76 days of this project - my phone. I have this habit of giving my inanimate object names. This is Eight. I called it so because it's a Nokia N82, and I've probably dropped it at least eight times since I got it.
Eight has served me well, though. I am not officially retiring him. I cannot really lug Nino around everyday, you know. I'm just probably going to focus on using Eight for other things. Like, I don't know, being a phone maybe?

Day 29: Heroique
I've given up on playing, but that doesn't mean that I've given up on music. Music, for me, is a constant. It cannot not be there. I sometimes wonder how you can put music into pictures. That's why I put links of music to my posts sometime. It's probably a given that I also like literature. Reading and writing are probably the first things I enjoyed doing. I'm an Alice traipsing in wonderland whenever I would read a story or write my thoughts. Photography, meanwhile, is something I have learned to love. At some point, I stopped taking pictures. It was only recently that I picked up from where I left the habit. The picture above is of a journal I got yesterday. And this post, I guess, is a summary of all three interests.
