I got these from Aldevinco in Davao. The green one was a pasalubong given to me a few months ago, and the purple one I got during my trip. I hardly go around without one of these bags now. It comes in handy when I end up buying something unexpectedly, or when I'm carrying extra shoes or clothing. I love the batik design and the fact that I can fold it up to the size of a purse and fit it in my bag.

Day 194: Make A Plan
My brain stopped functioning by the time I finished my shift today. I got home tired, hungry and wondering what random thing I should take a picture of. While waiting for Gosick to buffer (watched it after reading photoparjour's post), I saw this little notebook I got in Baguio earlier this year. I bought it because it says Music and Violin on the cover (I know that doesn't really make sense) and it had cute colored pages. It was the first time, however, that I opened it on the first page. The writing says, "MAKE A PLAN", Comic Sans and all caps.
Well, the message kind of struck through my tax calculation-infused brain. I need to make a plan. I have been harping about a lot of things, but haven't really gotten around to structuring any of it. Or, at least, not to most of the ones that probably matter.

Day 81: Buckle Up
I have to admit, I haven't really felt like I've been on the top of my game. Sure, I did my tasks and probably other things in excess, but I somehow feel that I'm not working as hard as I used to. That's partly a good thing. I drove myself to the ground working for a long time, and it burned me out. Now, when I seem to have lesser responsibilities, my arrogance seems to have gotten the best of me. I tried to catch up with the things I felt I had to sacrifice at that time. The reality is I chose to sacrifice them then. Now that I have the chance to revisit all these things I didn't get to do, I got too happy.
So, I haven't really delivered as much as I normally would have. I want this to change, though. Starting now. One thing I truly want to rediscover is my ability to make a positive influence. That's probably what I like best about my work, knowing you can make things change. So, buckle up. I'm Ready (Kelly Clarkson) now.
