Day 308: Caramel Tarts

Found this in Salcedo Market.  I had a very interesting conversation with a colleague before going home.  It was great to exchange banter like that with people whose opinion you respect.  We talked about how perspective changes attitude towards different things.  Which reminded me of a song I'm currently earworming on: Blame It On The Girls (Mika).

Day 288: Flat Bread

I found these flat bread with rosemary at Salcedo Market.  I found it appealing that it can be dipped into anything.  I've tried it with paneer, cheese, cream cheese, chocolate hazelnut spread and jam.  It hasn't disappointed me yet.

Day 56: Igor

We were almost out of Salcedo Market when this perky little fellow said hello.  His name's Igor, and he was such an adorable little thing.

The fourth year of my living independently marks the fourth year I have lived without a dog.  That's saying a lot, because except for those four years, I have lived my entire existence in the presence of these mangly, little Monsters (Hurricane Bells).  I, obviously, love dogs.  They're just adorable.  If there's one thing I dislike about living on my own, it's the fact that I cannot keep a dog.  I used to work 16-18 hour shifts.  If I had a dog, it would have died on me.  I don't think it's fair to keep one and not be able to properly take care of it.  I have thought about it, though.  Having a little Boston Terrier around to play with is an appealing thought.  I would have loved to have a Siberian Husky, but taking care of it would probably drive me to poverty, and I'm not even rich to begin with.

Day 49: Strawberry Napoleon

After another long week at work, it's time to reward myself with Strawberry Napoleon from Salcedo Market.  The day was tiring, but the food was good, as always.

Day 8: Happy Buzz

I went to Salcedo Market with friends today. It was fun returning, since the place is a haven for photo opportunities. I've always thought that markets were wonderful places to find something beautiful to freeze in frame. I seriously had trouble choosing which picture to post. I, obviously, took a lot.

I finally picked this photo of wine bottles. I pretty much decided on this because I love wine. That, and the fact that the time I spent with my friends earlier gave the same kind of buzz. We didn't drink any, mind you. It was really just getting drunk on good food and great laughter. I believe everyone should have that. An opportunity to enjoy the little things that'll give us a happy buzz.
